Starting my early childhood near London, England I had an endless curiosity about the natural world and the universe.  From a very young age, I would make a weekly trip to my local library to check out books, read them, and then repeat the process again for the next week.  Always on my mind, were questions such as “How were galaxies formed? When did life begin on earth and how? What materials make up our earth?”  Trying to answer at least some of these questions led me to follow a university education where I got a doctorate in chemistry and physics.

From there I built a professional career which included the development of complex scientific instrumentation and their applications in life science research.  I moved permanently to the United States in my early 30’s, and my career provided the opportunity to visit over 40 countries worldwide where I gained wonderful insights into diverse cultures and natural landscapes.  As a believer in the phrase that “travel broadens the mind” I have continued that exploration with my same curiosity through photography in retirement.  Through my photographs, I aim to capture and share the emotion and awe that I experience as I continue my journey.
